? WHY SRP SUSTAINABLE FUTURE ?
The significance of utility company board member elections lies in their pivotal role in shaping the governance and strategic direction of vital service providers, including electricity, water, and gas utilities. These elected officials wield considerable influence over rate-setting mechanisms, infrastructure development initiatives, and environmental stewardship policies, thereby exerting profound impacts on consumer welfare and community resilience. Thus, the promotion of transparent and accountable electoral processes for board members is indispensable for safeguarding consumer interests, fostering equitable governance, and ensuring the sustained reliability and affordability of essential utilities.

EDUCATION
SRP Governance
SRP comprises two organizations: the Salt River Valley Water Users’ Association, commonly referred to as "the Association," established as a private water corporation in 1903, and the Salt River Project Agricultural Improvement and Power District, known as "the District," formed as an agricultural improvement district and a political subdivision of the State of Arizona in 1937. These organizations operate independently, each with its own governance structure, to serve the diverse needs of their respective constituencies.
SRP Elections
The Association and the District are encompassed within the broader Salt River Reservoir District, delineated into 10 geographical voting areas. This district is further subdivided into 10 voting districts for the Association and 10 voting divisions for the District. Biennial elections are conducted for both boards and councils of these organizations. For inquiries regarding SRP elections, please contact the Elections Information Line at (602) 236-3048, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., or email election@srpnet.com.
